Dubai International Stadium

Inside Dubai International Stadium, with blue seats under its round roof

Dubai International Stadium, also known as Dubai International Cricket Stadium, is in Dubai Sports City, on Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road. It opened in 2009 and seats 25,000. Instead of floodlight towers, more than 300 lights circle its round roof. The ICC says the ground is famous for this “ring of fire”. It hosted the 2021 men’s T20 World Cup final and the 2025 Asia Cup final between India and Pakistan.

Getting to Dubai International Stadium

There is no metro station in Dubai Sports City. Platinumlist advises taking the Red Line to Dubai Internet City, then the RTA’s F34 bus, a ride of about 20 minutes according to Gulf News. Taxis go straight to the ground, and there is parking, but Gulf News told fans at the 2025 Asia Cup final to arrive early because the car parks fill quickly.

The RTA ran free shuttles from Jumeirah Golf Estates metro station for India against Pakistan at the 2025 Champions Trophy, but none had been announced for ILT20 when we checked.

In April 2023, on Sachin Tendulkar’s 50th birthday, its West Stand was renamed the Sachin Tendulkar Stand, 25 years after his “Desert Storm” century against Australia there.

How to buy ILT20 tickets on Platinumlist

All 34 matches are on Platinumlist, as we reported in our ticket news story, though the league has not yet announced its 2026 ticket sales. Last season its ticket partner was Virgin Megastore Tickets.

  1. Find your match on our tickets page, which links to Platinumlist.
  2. Press Select tickets and pick a stand on the seat map or ticket list.
  3. Choose adult or child tickets, up to 10 per match. Each ground needs a separate order.
  4. Sign in or create an account and pay by card. You must be 18 or over, with a card in your own name. Prices are set in UAE dirhams, taxes included, though Platinumlist may show them in your own currency.
  5. Your e-tickets arrive by email 48 hours before the match. Print them or show them on your phone.

Tickets cannot be collected at the ground or resold, and each one scans once, so there is no re-entry. Box offices at the Dubai and Sharjah grounds may also sell tickets, subject to availability.

Going with children: tickets, bags and rules

The entry rules are the same at all three grounds:

  • Child tickets: ages 5 to 16 need one. Under 5s go free on an adult’s lap, one per lap, and staff may ask for photo ID.
  • Supervision: under 15s must stay with an adult in and around the stadium.
  • Not allowed: pushchairs, umbrellas and camping chairs. There is no bag drop.
  • Restricted items: food (unless medically needed), drinks, bottles, flasks, cool boxes, stuffed toys, flags and banners, horns and whistles, laser pointers, drones and large bags.
  • Wheelchair users: each ground has wheelchair viewing areas. Choose the ticket option that mentions wheelchair access.
